Recently I finished these three books and gained a deeper understanding of the Abrahamic religions, i.e. Judaism, Christianity, Islam. I had already read the Bible and the Quran before, though partially. Gradually the study of several English and Urdu literary texts introduced to me some subtle aspects of these religions. I could clearly see a mystical thread running through the religions of the East and the West.
Unfortunately, the outer aspects of these religions have come to dominate our thinking, breeding conflicts and hostility. They are so hard set on our minds that we have begun to hate the people of other religions without understanding them, or even, without trying to understand them.
